Our Brood Jennets

In 2002 we adopted a "Jennets First" breeding program. Our jennets are now not bred until they are mature adults of about 4 years and are only bred every 2 to 3 years. Watch for our new foals coming soon!

Foxy gets her 32" height honestly since both her parents are around 32" tall. A very stocky spot with a great rear who passes it on to her progeny. She has produced three herd sire quality jacks the past three foals:

Fabian in 1999.

Ravenwood Dakota in 2001.

Ravenwood Cherokee in 2002.

Foxy and Zeus II produced a great jennet foal, Ravenwood Victoria, in 2004.

Ravenwood Skye, blue roan jennet in 2006.

Ravenwood Frosted Fox, sorrel spot jack in 2009.

Sugar has overall balance in her proportions and has straight legs with a stocky build. Sugar foaled Ravenwood Anna on 7/24/02, sired by Flight of Fancy Logan. On April 1st, 2005, Sugar foaled a brown jack with a star, Ravenwood Omega Star, sired by LA Wilber.

Dollar has an excellent topline and has the straight stocky legs and build to make an excellent brood jennet. She was not bred until she was 4 years old and foaled at five years of age.
She had a dark brown jack, Ravenwood Sawyer, in 2004. She had a gray-dun jack, Ravenwood Houdini, in 2005.

Her 2003 foal is a gray/brown jack named Ravenwood Buckwheat.

Her 2005 foal is a gray-dun jennet named Ravenwood Josie.

Her 2007 foal is a light sorrel jack named Ravenwood Don Diego.

Her 2009 foal is a light red named Ravenwood Ginger.

Princess is a very correct jennet that has that good rear from both her parents. She has a sweet personality and is very gentle and loving. Princess has been bred to Zeus II for a spring 2007 foal.

In 2007 she produced Ravenwood Phoenix.

At age 15 Patsy was first in dam & foal class at the
Indiana State Fair with her foal, Ravenwood Jag.

Patsy has produced some very dark and spotted foals. In 2000 she produced Ravenwood Cynthiana, who we retained in our brood jennet herd. In 2003 she produced a very dark colorful jennet, Ravenwood Apache. Two years before in 2001 she produced a nice spotted jennet, Ravenwood Whitney.
In 2006 she had a red roan jennet, Ravenwood Polly.
In 2008 she had a light red jack, Ravenwood Jag.

Patsy has good proportion and great hindquarters.
